No os regaño, ni os doy charlas que ya lo he hecho en clase esta mañana. (aunque los del C me tenéis que explicar eso de los profesores poco comprensivos que no os apoyan y no son justos, y no os ponen trabajos para subir nota, ni os tienen en cuenta las actividades, desde luego que neither lousy professors give you candy or anything)

The essence of film is defined by two concepts: a screen, and people enjoy it. Without an audience, this makes no sense. We can not forget that EVER .(...)
Goodnight. The day has come because for 25 years, twelve of our film professionals in the midst of a crisis as serious as ours, they walked together despite their differences. I begin this speech by congratulating the founding of the Academy.
Internet is, indeed, the salvation of our cinema
A film is not film until someone sits in front and see
If we want to respect us, we must first respect
Not only them, but all who have preceded me in this institution, vice presidents, members of boards and all the academics, have brought us here tonight, the Royal Theatre to celebrate the 25 th anniversary of the Academy of Arts and Sciences Film and the very existence of the Goya Awards. To all, thank you.
may seem that this day we separated, with different views on key issues. It is the result of the struggle of every man for his convictions. AND NOTHING ELSE. Because in reality, we're all the same, that is to defend the film. I would therefore like to congratulate and thank all of you here, to walk together in the dispute, and even divergence. We
much noise, but this time, there are many nuts. The clash of views is always spectacular and after him comes a cloud of smoke that obscures. But the discussion is not in vain, is not frivolous and is not precipitated.

25 years ago, who were dedicated to our craft ever imagined something called the Internet would revolutionize the film market in this way and that to see whether or not our films would not be just a matter of bringing the public to the cinemas.
Intenet is not the future, as some believe. Internet is the present. Internet is the way to communicate, share information, entertainment and culture used by hundreds of millions of people. Internet is part of our lives and the new window opens the mind to the world. The Internet is not like being called that. They are citizens, they are just people, they are our audience. That
public that we have lost is not going to the movies because it is in front of a computer screen. I say clearly that we are not afraid to internet, because internet is precisely the salvation of our cinema.
win the future only if we are those who change, to innovate, going ahead with proposals for imaginative, creative, providing a new market model that takes into account all those involved: authors, producers, distributors, broadcasters, web pages servers, and users. It takes a crisis, a change in order to move towards a new understanding of the movie business.
We must think of our rights, of course, but never forget our obligations. We have a moral responsibility to the public. We can not be forgotten essential, because people make films allows us to do, and we owe respect and gratitude.
films we talked about tonight are proof that in this country, we tear working. However, the same effort or more did so many other movies that have not reached the envelope of applications. They also deserve to be here, because they worked as hard as us.
I say goodbye on my last gala as president, reminding all candidates for the Goya only one thing: what does it gain or lose if we make films, working in what we like. There is nothing better than feeling FREE creating, and sharing that joy with others. We're filmmakers, tell stories, create worlds for viewers live in them. We are more than 30,000 people who are making very lucky to live dreams. We must keep up the privilege that society offers.
I think, in all humility, if we want to respect us, must be respected first.
And finally, I would tell you something the next President of the academy, which I like, whoever, they have been the two happiest years of my life. I have met wonderful people from all sectors of the industry. I've seen the problems from new perspectives for me, which has enriched me and me has done better than it was. I have found that working for others is an extraordinary experience that is hard at first, and everything's been 25 great years, but we have many more, and sure be better.
